For our final night in Chicago, we dined at Michelin-star restaurant Boka. We started at the very busy bar, with some amazing cocktails we kept coming throughout the night. Once we sat down, the vibe was calmer, and the service was impeccable. The octopus and beef tartare appetizers were the highlight of the meal in my opinion. Both the short rib and scallops were also great main course options. Their dessert choices were the most unique to me. I was excited about the black sesame and bittersweet chocolate, but something about the flavor combination wasn't adding up to me. The hazelnut and coffee definitely hit the spot though. It was a good meal, although not the outstanding meal I was expecting with the price tag and the Michelin Star! Next trip, I'm looking forward to trying out Alinea as my splurge meal instead. Enjoy the photos and I will get back to you guys soon with some posts from my Asia trip.
