Thipsamai

Our first night in Bangkok we went to a well-known Pad Thai "restaurant". The place was opened in 1966 by a lady and her husband and has a great reputation both nationally & internationally. They have just a few things on their menu and are known for inventing an omelette wrapped Pad Thai. Most of the kitchen is actually on the sidewalk, with all the woks in the open air, and food spilling right on the street. The place was packed, with a line down the street and was very bustling. Those woks didn't stop for a second. We also bought a special orange juice they make in house to drink the next morning (which was 3 times more expensive than any Pad Thai dish!). It came bottled, was a very bright orange, and had chunks of fruit floating in it.
Woks right by the cars with food everywhere!
