After Sydney, I was off to the small town of Cairns, close to the Great Barrier Reef. The reef was a 90 minute boat ride out to sea from Cairns. I went
scuba diving for the first time - it is so peaceful down there, I loved it! Also, I kept seeing
"Moreton Bay Bugs" on many menus around Australia. My curiosity kicked in and I knew I had to try it before I left. It is actually not a bug but a sea creature, in the same family as lobster. Its meat is found in the tails and tasted almost identical to lobsters (see pictures below).
